Welcome to the Crest Academy!
The Crest Academy is a 5th-8th grade public school with a mission to provide a Project-based and Place-based educational curriculum that promotes, high standards, teamwork, respect, and a life long love of learning. With small class sizes of no more than fourteen students, we provide individualized learning opportunities in a small community environment.
The Crest Academy is located in Salida Colorado and is an “innovative,” public school within the Salida School district. Our school is located at the corner of 12th and G streets.

The mission of the Crest Academy is to provide students with authentic, real-life educational experiences, while meeting Colorado State standards. Teachers, parents, and community members join together to facilitate the Project-and Place based learning philosophy of the school. Children are encouraged to use their individual learning styles to excel as students and individuals. Our goal is for students to realize that learning is everywhere, for everyone, always.
